Higher stretch and tensile energy absorption (TEA) than standard sack kraft, for faster filling lines and better drop-test results.
At the mill
A compacting unit shortens the web lengthwise while it is still damp, and that adds the machine-direction stretch standard sack kraft lacks. Asking for more takes heavier compaction, run at the limit the unit allows, and more high-consistency refining. More stretch gives a less stiff sheet in tension.
